And now London
I´m sitting here, all ready to start a blog describing the beautiful building I attend school in, or the rainy weather today, and then we hear word that bombs have exploded in London subways. And everything stopped. I´m surrounded by people from London, who´s loved ones travel Kings Cross every day, or other stops that were attacked, people are shocked, and scared, and glued to the internet, tv and cell phones, praying for an opportunity get a hold of someone they love. Reaching out to anything they can hold on to, anything they can grasp that will give them a semblance of reality, of something or someone from home. And I can sit here and know exactly how they feel. I hear people next to me saying ¨we´ve been expecting this for 4 years now¨and others saying ¨why London??¨ And I think of Alisa, who lived there, and Pam who´s visited. And the fact that I was just in London 4 days ago. I came to Europe somehow oblivious to the fact that the fear that attacked our country was being anticipated by everyone else. That others thought they would get it too. Somehow I thought that America was the bad guy to these terrorists, and that they would pick on us and leave the rest of the world alone. But they didnt´. And they won´t. It´makes me sad, and regretful, and so damned angry that we´re hanging out in Iraq and still haven´t gotten that bastard that knocked down our towers, he´s out there hiding, taunting us, and allowing others to do the same to even more innocent people.
Of course it hasn´t been announced as ¨terrorism¨yet, but people are terrified. And that´s enough for me.
The server is slow, the cell phones aren´t working, and everyone is trying to carry on with their day. The guy next to me just got an e-mail from a friend in London, hes relieved to find him alive. He went off to lunch now, somewhat happy to hear the news, but then still in disblief.
I cant begin to know what to do for the people from London. theres helplessness, just a lost feeling that I cant help them with. like them, and all those in London, theres nothing we can do. My hearts go out to them. Those who read this, send your prayers to London. And to those who did this horrible thing, damn you. Damn you for claiming yourself as god and deciding that you have the right to take these peoples lives. Damn you for being so selfish and careless and angry.
Dont worry Mom and Dad. I may just walk to and from school for a few days, stay away from the subway. But then, that would mean that theyve gotten what they wanted. Theres just no way to win anymore.

I heard about it on the radio this morning and it made me realize that this thing isn't over yet. I can still hear Jennifer screaming when we watched the planes fly into the towers, I can't even imagine what those families are going through right now. They are all in my prayers.
This shows you how interconnected Europe is. The EU has allowed many to travel to another place to start a new life with great ease. What you see now is that though they are in different countries and will fight to the death to maintain their cultural identity they realize that there is good to be found be commonizing so many things. Now if only America could do the same. For as large as we are, with all our divergent voices why can we not find peace like we see over there?
Also...maybe we shouldn't be in London... oh well more time in Manchester woohoo!!!
